Focus on Science, not software.

  • Mira Pro was designed for astronomers by astronomers to implement critical image processing and data analysis procedures using science-appropriate algorithms. And Mira's superior visualization and processing tools allow you to see  more and detect fainter objects than with other software.
  • Mira’s GUI is highly integrated, easy to learn, and effective. It simplifies your work, increases your productivity, and lets you focus on science, not the mechanics of using software. Mira integrates visualization, processing, and measurement in a unique way that quickly becomes second nature. The time you save leaves more time for analyzing, publishing, and understanding your results.
  • Mira Pro is designed for the kind of work you do: calibrating, processing, visualizing, and measuring science images as well as numerical models and simulations. Its extensive tool collection works with 2-D images or arrays of any size, integer or real, and with bit depths from 8 to 64 bits per pixel.
  • Mira’s tightly optimized  image display and processing code gives astounding speed working with today’s large images, or with hundreds of images at one time. For example, using today's affordable P4 and Athlon-class machines, Mira can smoothly zoom, pan, and adjust a grayscale or pseudo-color palette while animating a dozen 2k x 2k, 32 bit real images at 20 frames per second.
  • Achieve maximum signal-to-noise ratio with maximum sharpness using Mira’s superior, yet easy to use image combining and registration. Mira not only provides a greater number of useful options, but also more effectively and efficiently integrates these tasks into your work flow.
  • Characterize and compute image properties, statistics, FWHM, and more; Measure subpixel centroid coordinates, distance, and angles—including world coordinate when using FITS WCS.
  • Versatile, highly accurate aperture photometry package measures multiple point sources on single images, image sets, and time series containing 100’s of images. Mira' s exact elliptical/circular aperture algorithm is not available elsewhere. Especially using small apertures, it assures the greatest accuracy and smallest photometric errors.
  • Create & print publication quality images, plots, text results, and measurement reports.
  • To go further, Mira Pro can be extended with several optional modules, including a powerful scripting language, Maximum Entropy Deconvolution, and enhanced graphics tools.
