The new
MExtract module
automatically detects sources (generally known as "blobs") and extracts their
properties into a tabular form for analysis. This module is an important asset
to a broad range of low-light science applications ranging from
astronomy (variable stars, asteroid discovery, galaxy
classification, etc.) to optical system testing, discovery of
transient sources or motion, and more. This extremely powerful,
