Working with File Lists

A File List is a Mira innovation that uses a single name to reference many files. The File List itself is a file, making it possible for you to work with many files using a single file name, i.e., the name of the File List. The advantage of the File List protocol is that you can create such a list when needed and then save it for future use. If you want to change it later, you can do that too. For example, you might want to display the images, apply some processing operations to them later, and be able to bring up the same set of images a month from now. Using a File List, you just need to know the file name of the File List. That means that it is also often useful to give a File List a sensible name so you will know in the future, exactly what it contains. Mira File Lists use the file name extension .axf.
