Mirametrics, Inc. announces the immediate
availability of the
MExtract
Module for its Mira
MX and Mira
Pro software products.
The MExtract Module adds the capability for detection
and measurement of the properties of sources (also called "objects" or "blobs") in images.
Areas of use span the range of science and engineering applications, especially
where precision low-light level imaging is involved such as astronomy and
biology.

TUCSON — February 12, 2006 — Mirametrics, Inc. today
announces availability of the new
MExtract
Module for its Mira
MX and Mira
Pro
software products. This software module includes tools for identifying and
extracting the source properties of objects detected in digital images. The
broad range of application includes numerous research areas in precision
imaging, especially in the area of low-light imaging and transient source
detection. Some sample applications in astronomy, space sciences, sensor
R&D, and optics include:

pellet tracking in inertial confinement fusion

ejecta tracking in impact and collision

Initial pricing for the MExtract Module applies through
