Frame Attributes


The Frame Attributes page allows you to configure the frame of the plot, including the fonts, color, and grids.

 

Caption

Configures attributes of the font used for drawing the caption above the plot box (not the window caption).

Labels

Configures attributes of the font used for drawing the labels on x-axis and y-axis.

Ticks

Configures attributes of the font used for drawing numbers beside the ticks on the x-axis and -axis.

Frame

Selects the color used for drawing the plot box frame.

Major Grid

Selects the color used for drawing the grid at major intervals of the x-axis and y-axis.

Minor Grid

Selects the color used for drawing the grid at minor intervals of the x-axis and y-axis.

Interior

Selects the color used for drawing interior of the plot box.

Exterior

Selects the color used for drawing the exterior of the plot box out to the edges of the Plot Window.

Size

Sets the thickness of lines used for drawing the particular element of the plot.

Window Size

Selects the size for drawing future Plot Windows. The Current selection draws future Plot Windows at the size of the current window.

tip

The Window Size preference is used to establish a default size when new Plot Windows are opened. You can use this for example, to clone the current Plot Window size for future windows.

There is also an Open as Bottom Most option in the Plot Preferences dialog which prevents new plots from opening on top of the Image Window from which it was created.
