Opening Files from File Lists
When Mira opens a File List, it sees the file as containing the names of actual files to be opened. Mira parses each file name and opens it in turn, just as if you had used the Open dialog to select each of the files. The first procedure below describes opening a single File List. The second procedure, below, describes how to open files from 2 or more File Lists.
Suppose you have created a File List containing 3 images and you have named it My 3 Image.axf. To load all the files contained in My 3 Images.axf, do the following:
Open the Open dialog and navigate to the folder containing the File List (shortcuts).
Decide whether to open the files from the File List
as individuals in separate windows, or
as an Image Set in a single window.
Open the Options list box and check or uncheck Open as Image Set as desired.
Click on the File List (in this example, My 3 Images.axf) to select it just as you would any type of file. Then click Open to open all the files contained in the File List.
To expedite opening a single File List, double click on the File List. This bypasses clicking [Open].
Suppose you have created a number of different File Lists and you want to open all their images. The example below shows how to do this.
Suppose there are two File Lists named My 3 Image.axf and My 5 Images.axf. To load all 8 images contained both File Lists, do the following:
Open the Open dialog and navigate to the folder containing the File List.
Decide whether you want to open all of the files from all File Lists in separate Image Windows or as a single Image Set in a single window. Check or uncheck the Open as Image Set in the Options list box as desired.
If you want to group these separate File Lists into a single File List for future use, see Merging File Lists. Otherwise, proceed to the next step.
Click on the File Lists of interest (in this example, My 3 Images.axf and My 5 Images.axf) to select them. Then click [Open] to open all the files contained in the File List.
