Spatial Filter Overview

Spatial Filters combine the luminance of neighboring pixels within a small region around each point to produce a new value at that point. By adjusting the way the neighborhood pixels are combined, this type of processing can lead to enhancement, of image features, suppression of noise, conversion to other representations, and other results. The term "spatial filter" is used to differential this type of processing in the spatial domain from filtering in the frequency domain.

Commands

Spatial Filters

Applies a variety of spatial filters to images.

3x3 Custom Filter

Allows you to specify the weights of a 3x3 filter kernel.

Custom Filter

Applies a filter of arbitrary size using weights you specify. The 3x3 Custom Filter command is a simplified The version of this command.

Maximum Entropy

Performs Maximum Entropy de-convolution (this is an optional extension module for Mira )

De-Speckle

Removes isolated deviant pixel values from the image.
