Series Default Attributes

This dialog sets default attributes for plot series. The settings for both lines and symbol markers are set using the same dialog, since Mira does not know in advance what type of plot will be made into each series, according to its index (series number). The dialog shown below sets the attributes for series 1. When setting automatic series attributes using the Plot Preferences page, "plot index 1" corresponds to series 1, n+1, 2n+1, etc., for value n set in the Repeat Every box.

You can change the series attributes after a plot is created using the Plot Series Attributes command.

Symbol

Use the up/down arrows to select the symbol type. This has no effect for a series that uses a line to connect the points.

Size (Symbols)

Use the up/down arrows to change the point size ("pts") for symbol markers. One point equals 1/72 inch; a value of 0.75 to 1.0 points is about the thickness of a single pixel on a typical computer monitor.

Color

Double click the color swatch to change the color assigned to the series. This changes the marker color or line color, depending upon the type of plot.

Size (Lines)

Use the up/down arrows to change the line thickness in points ("pts"). One point equals 1/72 inch; a value of 0.75 to 1.0 points is about the thickness of a single pixel on a typical computer monitor.
